Stunning large 18th century export porcelain charger with very finely painted deep underglaze cobalt blue decoration featuring a landscape with various buildings and boats. It is framed by very intricate outer border with floral and geometric designs and four smaller cartouches with additional scenes. Fantastic and well preserved example of its type. Diameter:  31 cm.

Chinese Antique Longquan Celadon Glazed Incense Burner Censer Possibly Qing

Unusual antique Chinese Longquan celadon glazed tripod incense burner of foliate form. We couldn’t find one quite like it for reference so it’s hard to date it precisely – especially as similar forms have been produced since the Song dynasty – but judging by the glaze wear, especially around the points of the rim, it could be a Qing dynasty example. Height: 9.5 cm.

Chinese Antique Qianjiang Cylindrical Porcelain Pot Vase Inscribed Guangxu Mark

Large antique Chinese cylindrical porcelain pot or vase with Qianjiang cai type decoration depicting scholars under the tree. Other side with inscription that appears to be dated to the ‘Jiawu’ year 甲午. Base is stamped with a four-character Guangxu seal mark so in this case, ‘Jiawu’ year would correspond with the year 1894. Really lovely decorative piece. Height: 28.5 cm.

Charming antique Japanese Meiji period Satsuma style dish decorated with a large central medallion depicting a very charismatic arhat/rakan holding a ruyi sceptre. Central scene is surrounded by a typical geometric border. Mark on the back appears to read 大日本東京 ‘Great Japan, Tokyo’ 翠風社製 ‘Made by Suifu (?) Company’. Diameter: 24 cm.

Lovely vintage Indian black painted bronze or similar copper alloy figure of Hindu god Shiva in his ‘Nataraja’ form, depicted performing the Ananda Tandava (Dance of Bliss) and surrounded by a flaming halo (Prabhavali). The demon under Shiva’s foot represents ignorance, ego, and the illusions that lead mankind astray. Height: 16.5 cm.

Gorgeous Indian bronze/brass shrine figurine of Shiva’s sacred bull Nandi, depicted reclining on a rectangular pedestal. Nandi symbolises the religious duty ‘dharma’ of a devotee and is worshipped by those intending to pay respect to Shiva himself. Likely dating to the 18th-19th century. Height: 10.5 cm, base measures 7.6×5.5 cm.

Fine Chinese Antique Export Silver Box Artisan Zhuo Retailed by Kwan Hing 196.6g

Fantastic antique Chinese export silver round box with a gilt interior and unusual finial modelled as a magpie. Features fine repousse decoration depicting a classic pattern with magpies and prunus blossom, creating the visual rebus ‘xishang meishao’ (喜上眉梢) which translates to ‘happiness up to your eyebrows’. The base bears the stamp of the artisan silversmith ‘Zhuo’ 卓 (Canton) who produced pieces for various retailers in Canton, Hong Kong and Shanghai. This example was retailed by Kwan Hing (KH) and also bears a standard 90% purity mark. Weight: 196.6 grams. Diameter: 10 cm. Height: 9.5 cm.

Fine large antique ink and watercolour painting on paper depicting the Baillie (Bailey) Guard Gate, Lucknow. Beautifully detailed artwork which appears to be unsigned. It was at some point reframed but on the back features a preserved original label of the framer Mumman & Sons, Sudder Bazaar, Lucknow. Paintings with similar labels sold by Bonhams were dated to the mid-19th century so it is possible this might be of a similar age. Dimensions: visible area of the artwork is 34×24 cm, frame measures 50×40 cm.

Robe is covered in numerous brass mirror discs (some missing), typically found on robes used in traditional Chinese opera. Height: 104 cm. Width (sleeve to sleeve): 160 cm.
