Chinese Antique Gilt Bronze Female Figure in Robes Ming Dynasty or Earlier

Superb antique Chinese gilt bronze figure of a woman in flowing robes with long sleeves. Holding an object in her right hand, top of which is now missing. Ming dynasty or earlier. One similar example that we found is dated as Jin or Yuan dynasty, China, 13th century (see the last photo). Two more examples of a similar type are dated Song to Ming dynasty:

Chinese Antique Bronze Chilong Dragon Bottle Vase Late Ming Early Qing Dynasty

Beautiful antique Chinese late Ming or early Qing dynasty bronze bottle vase with a chilong dragon coiled around the neck. Surface has been at some point polished but it still has a very nice patina to it. Great rare piece for a collector! Height: 15 cm.

Chinese Style Antique Silver Gilt Bronze Seated Figure 19th-20th C European?

Gorgeous antique Chinoiserie bronze figure with silver and gilt decoration, depicting a seated Chinese female. Style and casting, however, look more Western. Probably made in Europe during the late 19th or early 20th century. Height: 11.5 cm (7.5 cm without the stand).

Vintage Indian Jain Siddha Bahubali Gommateshwara Stone Statue 20th C

Rare vintage Indian Jain stone statue of Siddha Bahubali a.k.a. Gommateshwara. We were unable to find similar pieces for reference but it’s probably a 20th century example. Beautifully carved and even more impressive in person. Height: 26 cm / 10.2 inches.

Antique French Cutlery Set Porcelain Handles With Japanese Figures Early 20th C

Very unusual antique cutlery set with relief-moulded porcelain handles featuring the Japanese Seven Lucky Gods. Style suggests that this was likely made in France during the early 20th century. Not signed but some pieces decorated in a similar style are sometimes signed ‘Aladin’. It is not clear whether this example was produced by the same studio. Height: 15.5 cm

Chinese Antique Longquan Celadon Glazed Stoneware Jarlet 14th C Yuan Early Ming

Fabulous Yuan or early Ming dynasty (14th century) Longquan celadon glazed stoneware jarlet with relief moulded decoration featuring a dragon chasing the flaming pearl above the sea of rolling waves. A wonderful piece for a collection.

Chinese Antique Bottles With Ink Calligraphy Paintings on Paper Qing or Republic

Interesting pair of late Qing Dynasty or Republic period square-form glass bottles with miniature ink paintings and calligraphy on paper attached from the inside. Calligraphy and inscriptions are hard to read but the small oval seal appears to read 李 ‘Li’ and the first character of one of the other seals looks to be 可 ‘Ke’ (not sure about the second one). Artist Li Keran 李可染 (1907 – 1989) used similar style of painting and calligraphy, as well as oval 
李 ‘Li’ seal on his works but we were unable to confirm whether these could have been done by him. Height: each approx. 7.5 cm.

Beautifully done 20th century examples of good size. Each measures 50×38 cm, including the mount. Area of the artwork measures 42×30 cm.

Antique 17th C Hand Tinted Engravings Chinese Soldiers TAISING OF SINA – O DAPPER

Very rare hand-tinted engravings of Chinese soldiers from the first edition of Olfert Dapper’s important work on China, TAISING OF SINA, drawing on documents and information from the embassies and trade missions sent by the Dutch East India Company to China from 1662 to 1668. Published in 1670 in Amsterdam. As the label on the back states, these views are among the earliest examples of engravings of China to be published in Europe. Dimensions: frames 32.5×28.5 cm, visible areas of engravings are 17.5×14 cm and 16×12 cm.
