Charming antique Chinese silver pill box with engraved decoration and hinged lid with inset natural jade pendant carved in the form of a bat. This type of pill boxes usually has silver marks to the base but this one doesn’t so it could possibly be silver plated, even though we can’t see any obvious indication of this.

Antique Japanese Hirado Porcelain Chawan Tea Bowls in Kutani Style by Manpozan

Fabulous pair of antique Japanese Hirado porcelain tea bowls and saucers decorated in aka-e Kutani style. Beautifully painted and very thinly potted examples in great condition (it’s rare to see examples without hairlines). Each piece signed 満宝山枝栄造 ‘Made by Manpozan Guiei/Shiei’ which was studio name used from 1871 after the management of the Mikawachi kiln was transferred to Furukawa Uknichi/Choji and later in 1874 to Toyoshima Masaharu.
