Rare Pair of Chinese Amber-Glazed Pottery Figures. Liao Dynasty, 10th-11th century

Very unusual pair of Chinese amber-glazed attendant figures in long flowing robes and wearing crown-shaped hats with flat tops. One of the figures is playing a traditional Chinese lute (pipa), the other is depicted holding a banner in his right hand and left hand on his chest. Produced during the Liao Dynasty and dating to c. 10th-11th century. Great unique examples of early Chinese ceramics for a collection.

Both are in very good condition. Some age-related surface wear to the glaze as per photographs.
