Very unusual pair of Chinese amber-glazed attendant figures in long flowing robes and wearing crown-shaped hats with flat tops. One of the figures is playing a traditional Chinese lute (pipa), the other is depicted holding a banner in his right hand and left hand on his chest. Possibly Liao Dynasty or later examples. Great unique examples of early Chinese ceramics for a collection.
Both are in very good condition. Some age-related surface wear to the glaze as per photographs.
