Excellent pair of Qianlong period oval serving dishes with very nicely painted decoration in underglaze blue. Both depict a variation of the same mountainous landscape with a lake or a river and three figures about to cross the bridge. Scattered among the rocky outcrops and distant mountains are pagodas and other buildings. Each scene is framed by a Fitzhugh-type border. Both in very good condition with only minor surface wear to the glaze and some typical small firing flaws.
