Rare Chinese square-form gu vase with relief moulded decoration and turquoise glaze. Late Ming Dynasty example. Relief decoration around the base represents various scholars objects, while the upper section depicts scenes with four different flowers – prunus blossom, chrysanthemum, lotus and peony.
Vase is in good antique condition commensurate with age. Crackle, loss of glaze and chipping around the edges consistent with other Ming Dynasty examples. Complete condition report available upon request.
