Stunning pair of large antique Chinese longan (?) wood statues depicting Buddhist foo lions with very expressive faces. Female with a pup and male with a brocade ball under his front paw. Both standing on a rocky outcrop atop an openwork carved base. Really great examples of their type and of good size.
In very good condition with typical age-related tension lines and small losses. Small repair to one of the bases (right). Please enlarge and study all provided photos as they form part of the description.
