Rare Yongzheng period (1722-1735) moulded bowl decorated with beautiful floral sprays of peonies and rocky outcrops in fencai enamels with well preserved overglaze blue and gilding. Impressive piece of early 18th century Chinese porcelain with slightly irregular shape due to difficulty of firing bowl of this size.
In good condition with minor chipping to overglaze enamels and surface wear to the glaze consistent with age and usage. This bowl was definitely well used throughout its lifetime. Three hairlines extending from the rim, one of them stapled. One small star crack on the inside. There is a line running along the rim where the bowl was at some point fitted with a metal mount. Complete condition report is available upon request.
