Fine antique Chinese export gouache painting on pith paper depicting a seated lady dressed in intricately embroidered robe, playing a large drum. Behind her on a marble top hardwood table can be seen an incense burner and a vase with a floral arrangement. Beautifully painted example with somewhat unusual subject. Nicely framed and glazed.
In great antique condition with typical minor age-related marks and minor splits as per photographs.
