Rare large antique Japanese Ko-Imari porcelain dish of quatrefoil form, decorated in impressive underglaze cobalt blue. Featuring a large central landscape scene framed by an intricate and beautifully painted border with various geometric, floral and foliate motifs. Back marked with a typical 乾 ‘Ken’ mark in underglaze blue. Rings like a bell. Great late Edo period example for a collection!

Some usual age-related glaze wear and one small chip on the rim, visible only from behind. In great condition for its age.
