Fine quality Japanese Kutani porcelain koro with heavily gilded decoration featuring various birds and flowers. Lovely details all around with lid finial shaped like a phoenix and feet modelled as three children carrying the incense burner on their backs. Signed ‘Watano Sei’ to the base.
In good antique condition with only a couple of small hairlines extending from the upper rim. One hairline and some nibbles to the inside rim of the lid as per photographs.
