Authentic early 19th century South Indian hardwood panel from traditional ceremonial chariot celebrated during Ratha Utchavam – Hindu temple festival associated with numerous temples of Shiva, Shakti and Vishnu across India. Carved in deep relief, this panel depicts Lord Rama holding his characteristic bow and arrow. Great decorative piece ready to hang on the wall.

Good condition consistent with age and usage. Made out of a solid piece of hard and heavy wood. Weathered surface and loss of original pigments due to exposure to elements. Some age-related tension cracks.

Dimensions: 46×18 cm / 18×7 inches
