Impressive large Chinese Nanking vase of unusual form with an extensive battle scene depicting warriors on horses and on foot accompanied by attendants carrying banners and flags. Famille rose decorated scenes are framed by multiple brown-dressed bands featuring relief carved floral and geometric patterns. Incised four-character mark to the base.

In very good antique condition with minor age-related wear to overglaze enamels. Top of the vase has been at some point reduced and the rim is thus slightly irregular.
