Very fine 19th century Japanese bronze cloisonné charger decorated with a bird-and-flower central scene framed by geometric patterns alternating with depictions of various Japanese mythological creatures. Beautiful and highly decorative example.
Some tension cracks along the edge of the central field. One area of lost enamels on the reverse and slightly bent edge of the plate. This is barely noticeable from the front. Minor surface wear consistent with age and usage.
