Interesting Chinese monochrome cloisonné vase that can be separated in the middle to create a calligraphy set with bottom half being the brush washer and top half – which is sealed at the bottom – forming the brush pot. Extremely fine cloisonné featuring elegant floral motifs on a foliate spiral ground and framed by traditional bands of ruyi heads and plantain leaves.
