Very fine Chinese Republic period cloisonne enamelled gilt copper brush washer bowl featuring central medallion with stylized Shou character surrounded by typical honeysuckle pattern set against an intricate spiral background.

Provenance: Collection of Alice Murphy, a Congregationalist Missionary and teacher in China between 1920s-40s. She served with Dr. Susan Barbara Sargent (Tallmon).
