Stunning large Satsuma charger featuring a scene with the Emperor seated on a throne and surrounded by attendants and various scholar’s objects. Wonderfully executed with fine details and heavy gilding all around. Comes in its original good-quality metal mount ready to hang on the wall.

In very good antique condition with age-related rubbing to the gilding and some minor original firing flaws as per photographs. Couple of old chips to the footrim.
