Really interesting Japanese Meiji period Kutani porcelain charger depicting a pair of figures framed by an intricate gilt border. Parts of the decoration appear to be missing, making the figure on the right look like it lost its head, which works well with shocked look of the other figure. Signed 大日本 九谷 杉川堂製? ‘Great Japan, Kutani, Made by Sugikawado?’

In good antique condition with surface wear to overglaze enamels and some staining. No chips or cracks
