Very fine Japanese rectangular black-ground cloisonné box and cover decorated with a myriad of colourful floral and geometric cartouches. Base with a lovely design featuring butterflies and flowers.
In very good condition for its age, with some usual minor pitting and wear around the edges. Internal enamels have a couple of small nicks and as per photographs.
