Fine quality antique Indian colonial silver box or tea caddy with beautiful repousse decoration depicting various figures from Hindu mythology, surrounded by a myriad of floral and foliate scrolls. Gilt washed interior. Base stamped by the retailer J. Boseck & Co. Calcutta. No purity mark but clearly made out of high grade silver.
In very good antique condition with normal age-related surface wear with typical small scratches a inscriptions to the base.
