Beautiful original Japanese shin-hanga woodblock print ‘Rainy Night at Maekawa’ by Hasui Kawase (1883 – 1957). Inscribed along the right edge. Signed in the lower left corner and marked with two red seals – one belongs to the artist and the other one presumably belongs to the publisher Watanabe (?). Lovely print with nice strong colours. Comes framed and glazed – print can easily be taken out of the frame if necessary. Frame shows some signs of age.
Print is in very good condition with minor age-related browning of the paper as per photographs. Please enlarge and carefully study all provided photographs.
