Stunning 19th century Chinese celadon-ground Rose Mandarin charger featuring large central medallion with extensive figural scene depicting imperial reception with court officials seated on a podium and surrounded by attendants, musicians and other figures. Scene is framed by cavetto profusely decorated with floral sprays, birds, insects and precious objects with gold accents. Great example of its type!
In good antique condition with some wear to overglaze enamels within the central medallion and rubbing to gilding around the rim. One old chip on the inside of the foot rim. NO HAIRLINES. NO RESTORATIONS. UV checked.
