A large black Chinese cloisonné bowl decorated with geometric patterns interspersed with Bao Xiang Hua floral sprays. Bao Xian Hua (‘Hosoge’ in Japanese) is an imaginary plant with attributes of several different flowers including lotus, peony and chrysanthemum. Four-character reign mark to the base.
Bowl is in good antique condition. Minor loss of enamels on the outside as per photographs. Enamel loss on the inside mostly obscured by the curve of the bowl.
