Beautiful antique Chinese wooden home shrine statue of a dignitary or Daoist Immortal, possibly Wenchang Wang or similar figure. Depicted in long flowing robes and seated on a chair. Originally holding an item – possibly a sceptre – in his hands that are raised in front of his chest. Wonderful example, likely dating to the Qing dynasty.
