Pair of Antique Chinese Silk Embroidery Panels Depicting Immortals Han Xiangzi & Lü Dongbin. Qing Dynasty

Charming pair of large 19th century Chinese silk embroidery panels depicting two of the Eight Taoist Immortals:
Han Xiangzi (Han Hsiang Tzu) holding his magic flute is considered patron of all musicians.
Lü Dongbin (Lu Tung-Pin) wielding his fly-whisk symbolizing power of flight and carrying sword that repels evil spirits.

Both textiles are in good antique condition consistent with age. Couched metallic thread nice and tight on both figures. Some of the thread forming auspicious symbols surrounding the Immortals is partly loose or missing as per photographs. Both framed and glazed.

Dimensions: each panel measures 33×36 cm
