Rare 18th century Chinese export porcelain teapot with underglaze blue border and ‘bianco sopra bianco’ fence pattern. Later clobbered in England with gilt decoration over the original white pattern (partly visible on the lid). Lovely, unusual example for a collection.
Some age-related rubbing as photographed. Two small restored chips to the lid (see last photo). Otherwise in great condition. Could still be used for serving tea.
