Very unique Chinese ceramic figure of a female fenghuang (Phoenix) bird perched on a rocky outcrop and carrying a flower in its beak. Small vessel on its back with an opening in the middle intended for holding incense sticks. Stunning flowing blue-green glaze imitating the plumage of the bird. Good condition with minor loss of enamels and several small nicks around the edge of the incense holder as per photographs.
