Pair of Antique Chinese Silk Embroidery Panels Depicting Immortals Zhang Guolao & Zhongli Quan. Qing Dynasty

Charming pair of large 19th century Chinese silk embroidery panels depicting two of the Eight Taoist Immortals:
Zhang Guolao (Chang Kuo Lao) holding his symbolic fish drum which brings long happy life.
Zhongli Quan (Chung-li Ch’üan) wielding his fan which has the power to resurrect the dead.

Both textiles in good antique condition consistent with age. Couched metallic thread nice and tight on both figures. Some of the thread forming auspicious symbols surrounding the Immortals is partly loose or missing as per photographs. Both framed and glazed.

Dimensions: each panel measures 33×36 cm
