Finely decorated early 18th century blue and white porcelain dish with large central scene featuring two figures, presumably scholar and his attendant sweeping steps. Framed by elaborate diaper border divided by four cartouches with pomegranates. Reverse decorated with three floral sprays and underglaze blue double ring mark. Great example of its type with nice deep shades of cobalt blue.
In excellent condition with glaze wear and rim fritting typical for early 18th century examples.
