Unusual Chinese pottery bottle jar with four applied lug handles on the shoulder. Exterior covered with a thin amber or ochre brown glaze with fine old crackle. Lower portion of the body and the foot were left unglazed. This example is somewhat reminiscent of much larger Martaban storage jars of the same period. Old collection label to the base.
Good antique condition with some age-related glaze wear as per photographs.
