Antique Bronze Gu Form Altar Vase With Taotie Mask Decoration and Floral Handles. 19th century

Gorgeous antique bronze Gu vase decorated in low relief with rolling waves and flaming pearl along the lower half of the body and with a pair or archaistic Taotie masks on each side of the neck. Twin handles in the form of flowers. Very nice dark patina with some wear to the Taotie faces.

In good antique condition with couple of casting flaws and one minor dent to the rim as per photographs. Surface wear and patina consistent with age.
